This time, we had the pleasure of hosting students from grades 1 and 5 of Primary School No. 63 named after Wisława Szymborska in Warsaw at the construction site of the Canopy by Hilton hotel.
During the visit, the children had the opportunity to see what a construction site looks like from the inside and to learn step by step how a modern hotel building is developed in the heart of the city. It was a unique opportunity to present the construction process in a practical way – from the structural shell stage to the final result.
As experts in investor supervision and construction project delivery, at APP-Projekt we are committed to sharing our knowledge and experience. During the visit, we discussed the roles of engineers, architects, and contractors, as well as the safety principles that form the foundation of every professional construction project.
The students asked many insightful and inspiring questions. Among other things, they were curious about:
- the difference between load-bearing and partition walls,
- what the structural shell stage of a building looks like,
- why helmets and high-visibility vests are required on construction sites.
The curiosity and engagement of the participants once again made a strong impression on us.
The visit was part of our ongoing educational initiative. Previously, we hosted young visitors at the Hillwood construction site and met with children at the Mini Harvard kindergarten. We treat such initiatives as an important part of our responsibility – we believe that awareness, safety, and a passion for construction begin with education from an early age.
At APP-Projekt, we consistently support education and promote knowledge about construction processes, inspiring future generations to explore and help shape the built environment.
